Measuring switching time of switching device contg. electromagnetic trigger

The coil (1) of the trigger is subjected to a constant voltage (3) on a switching command being generated. The time delay between the application of the constant voltage to the coil and the start of movement of the trigger's core is previously determined and stored. The duration of the switching process is related to the start of the core's motion. The stored time delay is subtracted from the measured time between the application of the constant voltage to the coil and the end of the switching process.
