The proposal relates to a process and device for matching an electric-pneumatic or hydraulic brake system for a motor vehicle in which, in order to synchronise the pressure between the electrically and pneumatically or hydraulically influenced pressure in the context of a matching process, the driver's instructions to the electrical control section of the brake system are associated with the actual pressures of the electrical and pneumatic or hydraulic control section of the brake system.
