Draught reduction system for ship in shallow channel

The system has a sealing unit (9) fixed to the ship's bottom (7) near the ship's (1) side (13) to create a chamber (15) sealed against the channel bed (11). The chamber can be subjected to an excess pressure which is greater than the pressure of the water (3) of the channel surrounding the chamber. The sealing unit is supplied with a gaseous fluid to raise the ship during transport and then to lower it after transport. The sealing unit is attached to the entire outer circumferential region of the ship's bottom.
