The crossover, of simplified construction, is used on a railway line. Independently of the actual lengths of the crossover, sections of the rail members (16,18,20) are elastically flexible by the same adjustment distance with the same relative length of the section. The sections of the flexing rail members, with the same adjustment distances, lie on the same or similarly designed supports (26,28,30).
