Drill hole in chipboard sheet for wood screw

The chipboard (1) bore is intended for a screw which can be stressed by high tear-out forces. The region (2), surrounding the bore is impregnated by a hardened substance with a viscosity of less than 150 mPas prior to hardening. The bore dia. equals that of the screw core, plus/minus 10%. Pref. the chipboard meets the respective German standard, the tensile-shear strength of the hardened substance is between 8-12 N/sq.mm, and its compressive strength lies between 700 to 500 kg per sq. cm. Typically the substance is hardened after the screw has been driven home.
