Process for supply of fuel and air to IC engine

The IC engine has two cylinder banks (34,35) with sensors (10,33) which feed data to air control units (2,3) that actuate an air supply valve (36) at a predetermined speed. Two injectors (9,32) supply fuel to the banks the rate of which is also sensed by the control units. Should the required air quantity increase faster than the supply valve opening speed can allow for, a signal can be sent to a pressure air supply (16) which is fed into the normal induction system (26). This provides the necessary air volume until the valve is open at which point the pressure air is cut off.
