The proposal is for a windscreen wiper device comprising at least one wiper arm (10) driven by an electric motor (11), the direction of rotation of which can be changed at least in the end positions. When the direction of rotation changes, the electric power available to the electric motor (11) is reduced. The rated power is provided either only on the expiry of a preset time or only after the wiper arm (10) has reached a predetermined position. A reduction in the current flowing through the electric motor (11) is particularly suitable for setting a reduced electric power. The windscreen wiper device of the invention results in a lower thermal load on both the electric motor (11) and the final stage (19). |
