Photomicroscope with photographic and video cameras

The photomicroscope has a photo output for coupling to a photographic camera (11,12) and a video camera (14), for recording the microscopic images, with a control circuit (26) determining the exposure timing of the photographic camera in dependence on the video image. Pref. a passive autofocus system (23,24) is used for automatic focussing of an examined object (2b) in the focus plane of the microscope objective lens (3), in dependence on the video camera image. Pref. a CCD camera is used, with a number of independent light-sensitive zones, the control circuit selecting the required zones for determining the exposure timing of the photographic camera.
