In a method for creating a crease (18) in a thin metal sheet profile (10) that has been bent to form at least two flat sections (12, 14) lying in different planes and joined via a curved section (16); the method comprises applying pressure to both the flat and curved sections on either side of the crease plane and at right angles to this plane. The crease (18) extends upwards in a plane (20) at right angles to both of the flat sections. A machine for the method is also claimed, using a pair of plungers to bend the sheet.
