Uncoupling mechanism with rollers and wedge system

The mechanism incorporates a thrust bearing (13) which is mounted on a support which is attached to the gearbox housing (2). Rollers (12), which are mounted on a pair of scissor-levers, are forced between a fixed disc (10) with sloping wedge edge and a similar, movable disc (11). The rollers force the movable disc in an axial direction. The movable disc acts against the thrust bearing (13) which acts against the uncoupling disc (16) of the coupling. Alternatively wedges, which are mounted on the levers, can be forced between rollers which are mounted on the discs.
