The two sides of the flexible strip are given a flexible layer of foam with a surface tolerable to the skin. The strip pref. has ridges and or flat parts, grooves and or protuberances to form ventilation ducts. The layer of foam is coated with a covering layer of dirt and or water repellent material and may have writing stamped on it. The middle of the band is aluminium plate onto which the foam is sprayed.
