Connection method for hose ends to extensions of inlet openings

The end of the tube (2) is pushed through a conical first part (19) of a bore in the inlet opening to which the tube is to be connected. The end of the tube incorporates a number of corrugations in which sealing rings (12) are mounted. The inner rim (22) of a C-clip, which is used to secure the hose in the inlet, fits in one of the corrugations. The rim (22) fits closely inside a rim (24) on the end of the inlet opening to prevent the rim from moving clear off the tube. The clip is held in position on the inlet by a catch (16) which fits over a ridge on the inlet extension (34).
