Rack gear assembly safety catch maintaining engagement

The rack gear assembly consists of two relatively movable, spring tensioned rack devices (A,B). The rack arrangement has a safety catch formed by an elastic nose (E) fixed to one or both of the rack assemblies (A,B). The elastic nose (E) operates to maintain engagement of the two rack assemblies, and is positioned at the end of the rack assemblies, opposite to rest position hooks. The rack assemblies are fixed together with a spring loading mechanism.
