RODIUM METAL RECOVERY FROM SPENT CATALYST COMPOSITION

The Rh element recovery method comprises the steps of: (A) resolving polymeric aldehyde by treating a waste catalyst with reactive solvent containing acid aqueous solution, low grade alcohol or the mixture of the liquids; (B) concentrating Rh component by molecular distilling the mixture containing low molecular aldehyde, and (C) recovering Rh component in solid state using the ternary system of water-ethanol-n-paraffin.
