<p>The device includes a stand (3) with a horizontal branch (4) at the top with a cable suspended from the end. The cable is mounted so it can rotate, and carries a golf ball on the lower end. A number of sensors within the stand detect the speed and angle at which the ball is struck by the golf club during a practice shot. From this, the distance travelled by the ball can be determined, for comparison with the reference trajectory which was intended.
