Lighting apparatus comprises a housing and a light source disposed within the housing, a first side of the housing being permeable to light of a first pre-selected frequency range, and a second side of the housing being permeable to light of a second predetermined frequency range. The second frequency range is different from the first frequency range. The first side of the housing is opposite to the second side of the housing.
