PURPOSE:To produce a photographic silver halide emulsion which is hardly blackened under pressure and is hardly affected by a processing soln. in an automatic developing apparatus and to provided a silver halide photographic sensitive material using the emulsion by allowing silver iodide to exist locally in particles at a specified concn. with an ammoniacal silver nitrate soln. to which a silver soln. having a specified concn. has been added when the internal high iodine parts are produced. CONSTITUTION:A reactive mother liquor is used by 150-450cc per 1mol silver halide and silver iodide is allowed to exist locally in particles at >=20mol% concn. with the ammoniacal silver nitrate soln. to which a silver soln. having <=0.75N concn. has been added when the internal high iodine parts are produced. The perferred particle size of formed silver halide particles is 0.2-8.0mum, especially 0.3-1.5mum. The compsn. of the silver halide for a photographic emulsion may be silver chloroiodobromide, silver iodobromide or silver iodide. The pref. compsn. is silver iodobromide from the viewpoint of high sensitivity and the pref. average silver iodide content is 0.5-20mol%, especially 1-8mol%. The photographic emulsion which is hardly blackened under pressure and is hardly affected by a processing soln. in the automatic developing apparatus is produced with improved productivity. |
