发明名称 ELECTROLYTE REMAINING AMOUNT CONTROL DEVICE OF FUEL CELL
摘要 PURPOSE:To keep high cell performance and safely operate a fuel cell by installing a pair of signal wires, a resistance measuring part, and a matrix layer electrolyte remaining amount calculation means, and controlling the amount of an electrolyte in a matrix layer. CONSTITUTION:A pair of signal wires 4 produced by forming an insulating cover around an electrolyte resistant conductive wire so as not to be in contact with a fuel electrode 1 and an oxidizing agent electrode 2 are inserted and arranged inside a matrix layer 3 interposed between the electrode 1 and the electrode 2. A resistance measuring part 5 where part or the insulating cover is removed is formed at the tip of each wire 4 and inserted into the matrix layer 3. Resistance value between a pair of signal wires 5 measured in the measuring part 5 is inputted in a matrix layer electrolyte remaining amount calculating means 6, and the remaining amount of an electrolyte in the matrix layer 3 is calculated by using a resistance value in the matrix layer 3 measured with the measuring part 5. The amount of the electrolyte retained in the matrix layer 3 is adequately controlled through a replenishment amount calculating means 7. Since the adequate amount of the electrolyte is replenished at an adequate time, high cell performance is kept and a cell is safely operated.
