PURPOSE: To effectively transfer the vibration energy of a piezoelectric element to a friction zone and to increase output by providing a stator with a taper- shaped connection part from a central part to a peripheral edge. CONSTITUTION: When a different voltage is applied to a pair of piezoelectric elements 6 and 7 which are located coaxially, the piezoelectric elements 6 and 7 vibrate in an axial direction, and stators 2 and 3 are bent slightly in the axial direction with sites 13 and 14 near a clamping tool 12 as a support, thus enabling displacement in the axial direction of the piezoelectric elements 6 and 7 to become a wave that advances in the directions of a periphery and diameter, to be amplified through connection parts 8 and 9, and to be transferred to the part of friction zones 10 and 11 which are located at the same angle region as the piezoelectric elements 6 and 7. Specifically, the vibration energy of the piezoelectric elements 6 and 7 can be effectively transferred by the connection parts 8 and 9 in a taper shape that functions as a lever, thus generating a sufficiently large displacement on the friction zones 10 and 11 due to the limited expansion and contraction of the piezoelectric elements 6 and 7, hence improving motor output. |
