PURPOSE:To execute stable discharge which is not influenced by atmospheric environment over a long term and to execute electrification without causing moire though cost is low and constitution is compact in an oscillating voltage system electrifying member, and an electrifying device, an image forming device and a process cartridge provided with the electrifying member. CONSTITUTION:At least one of the amplitude, the frequency and the DC component of impressed oscillating voltage on the fixed type electrifying member 2 arranged so that its discharge surface may come close to or abut on a body to be electrified 1 and electrifying the surface of the body to be electrified by impressing the oscillating voltage thereon is switched when the discharge surface of the member 2 faces to the area which is processed to be electrified and the area which is not processed to be electrified of the body to be electrified 1. The member 2 has a flat surface or a curved surface having convex curvature at least in an electrifying area and its discharge surface is a curved surface having concave curvature with respect to a surface to be electrified.
