PURPOSE:To provide an oscillatory wave linear actuator which is provided with a motion converting mechanism without using a belt transmission mechanism, and can eliminate an encoder slit plate. CONSTITUTION:A pinion 118 is fixed onto the shaft 12 of an oscillatory wave motor 100 which is fixed onto a motor bed 20, and the pinion 118 is engaged with a rack 121. When the motor 100 rotates, a base 29 moves along the rack 121. A photo interrupter 33 is fixed onto the bed 20 through a mounting member, and its light emitting element and light receiving element are disposed so as to face each other, the teeth of the rack 121 being put between them. The teeth groove of the rack 121 serves as the slit of a slit plate. |
