PURPOSE:To take out higher driving force by forming an oscillating element which generates ultrasonic oscillation and a traveling element which travels by the ultrasonic oscillation and is constituted so that oscillation may be generated by the ultrasonic oscillation from the oscillating element. CONSTITUTION:A stator S consists of a piezoelectric element 2 and an elastic element 1 which is excited by the piezoelectric element 2 and generates progressive wave, and on the stator S, a ring-shaped rotator 3 which is brought into pressure contact with the elastic element 1 is disposed. The ring-shaped rotator 3 which has a width of fixed ring, whose center O' is formed so as to be eccentric to its center O, is disposed so as to rotate around the center O of the stator S. As a result, a frictional contact surface with which the rotator 3 is brought into contact on the surface 1a of the stator S travels by an eccentric amount in the diametrical direction on the surface 1a by the rotation of the stator 3, so that a contact surface with the stator S changes. It is thus possible to provide higher driving force and stable driving. |
