PURPOSE: To prevent a device from being extended longer by consecutively photographing a plurality of image parts in an inspected part of a workpiece and constructing the entirety of the work by means of a combination of the plurality of image parts. CONSTITUTION: In a bag 5, bottom parts 2, 3 are set at right angles to the flat central part. On both sides of a conveyor belt, CCD semiconductor cameras 6, 7 are installed in a frame. Their exposure times are decided by means of strobe lights 8, 9. In each of the strobe lights 8, 9, the first flashing is excited by a signal from a photocell 10 detecting the tip part of the bag 5 conveyed in the lateral direction. When the rear end part of the bag 5 is detected by means of another photocell, the second flashing is excited. By means of these flashing lights, overlapped approximately half partial images of the respective bottom parts 2, 3 are photographed by means of the cameras 6, 7 so as to be fed to a computer 13. The computer 13 compares these four half partial images mutually, and if the computer 13 finds a defect, it generates an alarm signal and/or actuates a diverter 14 for rejection. |
