<p>PURPOSE: To provide a simple structured electric toothbrush whose attaching brush head can be moved against the handle, whose bristles can be continuously rotated at wide angles or in a fixed direction, and which is more suitable for tooth brushing and can be easily assembled because a hollow shaft is used. CONSTITUTION: This electric toothbrush has a radial arm with a crank guide 14 adjusted in the radius direction and attached at a hollow shaft 3 inside the handle 1 of the toothbrush. An eccentric part 15 is fixed at the crank guide 14. The eccentric part 15 is adjusted to be parallel in the axial direction of the hollow shaft and is driven by a toothbrush motor. A toothed quadrant 20 with outer teeth which are engaged with a gear 16 attached rotatably inside the toothbrush is mounted also on the radial arm in the hollow shaft 3. And the gear is to be engaged with a pinion 18 on a drive mechanism 12 by the motion of another gear which is coaxially placed and rotatably fixed and connected.</p> |
