PURPOSE:To prevent S/N from lowering by suppressing a joint noise without damaging customer bidirectional service. CONSTITUTION:Concerning this up joint noise suppressing method, the level of an up signal from a customer terminal equipment 2 at a subscriber's house 1 to a relay amplifier 3 is set higher than the standard input level of the relay amplifier 3, a variable attenautor 4 is provided at the relay amplifier 3, and that variable attenuator 4 is controlled by a center side remote monitoring device 6 and a terminal side remote monitoring device 7 so as to attenuate the level of the up signal outputted from this relay amplifier 3. Concerning the relay amplifier 3, the variable attenuator 4 for varying the level of the up signal transmitted from the subscriber's house 1 by varying an attenuation amount while using the center side remote monitoring device 6 and the terminal side remote monitoring device 7 is provided on the output side of its up branching/distributing amplifier circuit 8. Otherwise, the up branching/ distributing amplifier circuit 8 is not provided but the variable attenuator 4 is provided. |
