PURPOSE: To provide a flat LED array and its manufacture. CONSTITUTION: An LED array includes a conductive cap 16 selectively formed so as to provide a conductive layer 12, a first carrier limiting layer 13, an active layer 14, a second carrier limiting layer 15 and an exposed surface area 17 on a substrate 10, regulates a row and a column and arranges diodes within the row and column between them in the state of a matrix. A first impurity 20 is poured to a row and column area to form a vertical conductor penetrating the second limiting, active and first limiting layers to provide a surface contact point with respect to each diode. In the row and column area, a second purity 25 is injected across the second and active layers to form an insulation resistant body in the periphery of each diode. In the row area, a third impurity 30 is injected across the second limiting, active and first limiting layers and the substrate to form a insulation resistant body between respective rows. |
