WATER PERMEABLE MATERIAL AND MANUFACTURE THEREOF

PURPOSE:To provide a water permeable material used as the lower drain bed or underground embedding material of a road, having proper water permeability, excellent in integral properties and compression resistance and withstanding large load. CONSTITUTION:Ground chips of synthetic resin foam are heated and shrunk to be formed into a monothilic granular matter having unevenness and the granular matter 1 is charged in a mold to be heated, fused and molded or the heated shrunk granular matter 1 is charged in the mold in a softened state to be pressed. By this method, the granular matter is mutually and partially fused to be integrally molded so as to have required gaps 2 to obtain a water permeable molded object.
