PURPOSE:To reduce the manufacturing cost of a ceramic solid roller, and to improve the dimension accuracy between both the end surfaces. CONSTITUTION:An end surface 2 is formed with a circular recessed part 3 concentrically with the end surface 2 at a part, which includes the center of the end surf ace 2. The end surface 2 is cut except for the recessed part 3. Since the grinding area is reduce by the existence of the recessed part 3, the grinding resistance and the grinding quantity of the ceramic is reduced, and the grinding man-hours is reduced. At the time of grinding the end surface 2, since the error to be generated by the inclination of the end surface 2 due to the angle error of the axis C to a magnet can be reduced by rotating a roller 1 itself around the axis C, dimension accuracy between the end surfaces is improved. |
