PURPOSE:To enable a user to assign the use of a real scene to an image control device for a television game or the like where the image on the display image plane of a television or the like changes reacting to the operation of the user. CONSTITUTION:A real image expressed by a luminance-color difference signal 114 outputted by a video signal converting circuit 103 on the basis of the image pickup action of a CCD 101 is intermixed with a CG image transferred from an ROM 107 by a VDP 104 and stored as background data or object data in a VRAM 105. The VDP 104 discriminates whether the background data or object data read from the VRAM 105 for display is a code or a luminance-color difference signal and generates a digital RGB signal 115, corresponding to each, for image display. |
