PURPOSE:To prevent color slurring in a color printer which performs color printing by juxtaposing printing mechanisms performing printing in different color. CONSTITUTION:The printing mechanisms P1, P2, P3 and P4 performing printing in different color are juxtaposed and a carrier belt 9 attracting a recording medium 21 is movably disposed under the mechanisms P1, P2, P3 and P4. A timing mark is put on the carrier belt 9 and a photointerrupter 1 reading the timing mark is installed. Then, a dip switch for setting a positional error between the respective printing mechanisms from the outside is installed. The movement of the carrier belt 9 is controlled based on the output of reading the timing mark by the photointerrupter 17 and a set value by the dip switch. |
