PURPOSE:To enable the suppression of temperature rise in a cooling device without useless power consumption at the stand-by time of heat load of a fixing apparatus or the like and moreover allow a cooling fan to be stopped at the aimed temperature with a few temperature detecting points so as to reduce cost and prevent the internal temperature at the stand-by time from being fluctuated by the state of heat load and environment. CONSTITUTION:When the detected temperature in the current off state to a fixing apparatus (YES at #1) is lowered to the specified temperature or lower (YES at #3) and the specified time has elapsed (YES at #4), the driving of a cooling fan is stopped (#5). The detected temperature in the current off state to the fixing apparatus is detected using existing temperature detecting points, that is, the temperature controlled in the stand-by state of the fixing apparatus or the temperature for checking whether the fixing apparatus is in normal action. |
