PURPOSE:To obtain a decolorizable ink useful as an ink for printer, capable of being quickly decolorized when irradiated with near-IR rays and stable for a long time by microencapsulating a near-IR-decolorizable color and a catalyst with a resinous coating material. CONSTITUTION:This colorant is prepared by microencapsulating a near-IR- decolorizable color and a catalyst with a resinous coating material. Even when this colorant is dispersed in oil or water, the decolorization of the near-IR- decolorizable color by irradiation with near-IR rays is not inhibited by the oil or water molecules. Further, the near-IR-decolorizable color within microcapsules does not suffer from a chemical change by the oil molecules. This colorant can be used as a material for inks of various recorders without detriment to the decolorizability of the color. |
