PURPOSE:To easily control ultrasonic echo signals and enhance the stability of the signals in a ultrasonic diagnosis apparatus, by a method in which ultrasonic echo signals a probe receives are converted into digital data and delayed while maintaining high frequencies of the signals, and then a cross demodulation is effected with respect to the digital data so that the need for a sampling clock in a plurality of phases is eliminated. CONSTITUTION:A probe 2 receives ultrasonic echo signals and applies analog input signals from each channel thereof to A/D converters 31 to 3x, where the analog input signals are converted into digital data D1 to Dx. The digital data D1 to Dx are delayed in delaying circuits 41 to 4x, and transmitted to cross demodulation circuits 61 to 6x as digital data d1 to dx. Then, cross demodulation is effected with respect to the data d1 to dx in the cross demodulation circuits 61 to 6x, and channel in-phase components 11 to 1x and channel cross components Q1 to Qx are obtained. A synthetic in-phase component I is obtained from the in-phase components 11 to 1x by means of addition 7I and a synthetic cross component Q is obtained from the cross components Q1 to Qx by means of addition 7Q. A Doppler image and a color flow mapping image are formed from the components I and Q by means of DSC8 and displayed by a displaying apparatus 9. |
