PURPOSE:To easily check the state of translation during the translation by scrolling an original text and its translation, displayed on a display, by a CPU at a speed slower than a normal scroll speed once the low-speed scroll display is instructed by operating a keyboard. CONSTITUTION:Once the display speed of the display 30 is set to the normal scroll state by operating the keyboard 20, the original text is translated in order and the screen is scrolled each time an translation is made. When the slow-speed scrolling is set by operating the keyboard 20, the text on the display 30 is scrolled at the speed slower than the normal scroll speed. For example, when an original text of five lines of one sentence is translated in five seconds by the normal scraping, the display is scrolled in 0.2 second for each line as compared with the scrolling at a one-line/one-second speed. Thus, the speed of the scroll display can be adjusted by operating 'the keyboard 20. |
