<p>PURPOSE:To provide a shunt resistor which has a desired characteristic impedance by forming a metal foil resistor on the surface of a substrate as a strip conductor, forming two lead-out conductor patterns and forming a conductor metal film over the rear plane of the substrate. CONSTITUTION:A conductor metal film 2 which operates as a ground plane is formed over the rear plane of a substrate 1 formed of glass or ceramic. A several mum thick metal foil resistor on the surface of the substrate 1 is processed by photolithography so as to provide a desired characteristic impedance, and a microstrip conductor 3 is provided. Extraction patterns 4 and 5 are formed simultaneously with the strip conductor 3. Connecting pads 6 and 7 are also formed simultaneously with the strip conductor 3. A radiator 8 is adhered on the rear plane of the substrate 1 through the metal film 2. Since the shunt resistor is a transmission path that has a specific characteristic impedance, factors such as reflection, etc., that obstruct precise measurement due to mismatching of characteristic impedance are eliminated.</p> |
