PURPOSE:To manufacture sheet electrodes from electrode base material with almost no less and insert them into the case members automatically withhout wasting time, material and labor. CONSTITUTION:Carbon, active carbon, required binder, etc., are mixed and kneaded to obtain electrode base material 11. The base material 11 is extruded from an extrusion nozzle 10 continuously into a rod. The rod product 11a is cut in a direction perpendicular to an axial direction into sheets having required thicknesses by a cutting means 12 such as a cutter provided on the extrusion outlet side of the extrusion nozzle to obtain sheet electrodes 13 which are inserted into case members 14 and fixed to them by compression. |
