The external operating lever (8) is swivel mounted using a first bolt (11) on a support lever (9) resting on part (17) of the vehicle door and pivotally held on a second bolt (7) on the lock's box case (13). The first bolt has a guide roller (12) and goes through a circle arc shaped passage (16) in the box case. The support lever has an elongated hole (14) allowing longitudinal movement on the second bolt. At the centre of the circle on which the circle-arc shaped passage is based a third bolt (6) on the exterior operating lever on which the release lever (5) is movably mounted. The release lever has an elongated hole (15) allowing longitudinal movement on the third bolt.
