The invention comprises the means to create the conditions necessary for safely bending a hypodermic needle (4'), thereby rendering it and/or a hypodermic syringe unusable for injection, while using a hypodermic syringe (1), with, among other things, a container (2a) and an external container (3) that partially encloses said container. An arrangement of this kind requires: a) that the orientation of said hypodermic needle is off-centre (a) from the centre line (2a') of the container; b) that said external container (3) is formed with a hole (5) at the end partition (3e) positioned closest to the hypodermic needle; c) that said external container (3) is arranged to enclose said container (2a) so that the hypodermic needle (4) is placed outside of said end partition. The means requires: d) that the external container (3) is dislocated in a direction so as to totally cover the used hypodermic needle; e) that, in the position according to "d", the external container (3) is rotated relative to the container (2a) so that the tip of the hypodermic needle is oriented at the side of the hole (5) in said end partition; f) that the external container (3) is pressed towards the container (2a) with force enough to bend the hypodermic needle (4') within the external container (3), while the external container (3) is pushed to cover the container (2a) during the bending process. |
