The present invention pertains to an improved system of variable speed transmission, especially useful for electrically actuated vehicles, controlled by a normal manual gearbox. The manual gearbox has a power source formed by an electric motor of special design, having an external shell which can rotate relative to an internal rotor, such that the power from the external rotary shell and from the internal rotor of the electric motor can be transmitted respectively to a front and rear differential, and the vehicle can be powered to move via the differentials. The corresponding transmission shafts between the electric motor and the front and rear differentials can be selectively locked so as to selectively lock the power arriving from the motor when transmitted to the differentials, thereby varying the velocity of the wheels of the automobile. <IMAGE> |
