The bite indicator has a crook-shaped pivot body, a fastening body and a line-coupling element. The fastening body is fixedly connectable to the ground. The pivot body is connected, near one end, to the pivot body near the opposite end. The pivot body has a weight capable of being brought into different positions. The weight is connected to the pivot body so as to be at least partly detachable. The arrangement is such that it can be removed and exchanged for another weight or can be left out.
