The section (3) of textile cleaning material is cut off from a length of textile. It is hemmed with a protective binding or trimmed along the cutting edges, this can retain the intrinsic rigidity of the fabric. The edge-protection binding (8) or the trim is of a colour contrasting with the usual fabric of the covering (1). The hem binding or trim is 5 to 20 mm wide. The two opposite facing narrow sides have fastening pockets (7).
