A connecting element for connecting two parts (1, 2) generally in a connection plane comprises first means (4) for connecting the element (3) relative to a first (1) of the parts and second means (5) for connecting the element relative to the second part (2). Said second means (5) comprise actuation members (6) which on relative movement (arrow 8) of the parts (1, 2) substantially along the connection plane urge the parts forcefully towards each other.
