PURPOSE:To obtain address setting equipment of an air conditioner which enables shortening of time for setting an address. CONSTITUTION:When receiver parts 14 of indoor machines 1, 2 and 3 receive an address setting start signal from an outdoor machine 4, control parts 12 of the indoor machines 1, 2 and 3 read out serial numbers from serial number storage parts 11 respectively. Each of the control parts 12 waits till a random time calculated on the basis of the serial number passes. After a set time passes, the control parts 12 of the indoor machines 1, 2 and 3 transmit address setting request signals from transmitter parts 13 at different timings respectively. Accordingly, the outdoor machine 4 can receive/surely each of the address setting request signals from the indoor machines 1, 2 and 3 without collision with one another and transmit an address setting signal to the indoor machines 1, 2 and 3. |
