HF signal generator for microwaves - generates required frequencies directly from reference quartz oscillator in main loop

The signal generator includes direct and indirect synthesis sections. A main loop includes an oscillator that is a low gain factor microwave VCO. The VCO covers the whole required band with its electronic tuning. A secondary loop includes an indirect synthesis single-loop section with an uncritical cavity oscillator with a very high gain factor. The cavity oscillator has electric tuning which synthesises fine frequency steps. Its stability is controlled by a quartz reference. The secondary loop also includes a second section in which the frequencies necessary to the synthesis are generated directly from the reference.
