The tedder consists of an elongated frame carrying a series of rotors which turn about horizontal axes when in operation. Each rotor comprises a hub (11) with arms (12) extending radially from it and have forks (15) on their outer ends.Each arm has a deflector (20) attached to it which extends from the hub to the fork and is situated on the front side of the arm in relation to its direction of rotation, and each deflector has an inclined tip (22) which extends in front of the coils (16) of the corresponding fork. In addition, the leading edge of each deflector in inclined progressively towards the arm in the direction of its tip. The deflectors are made from thin, downward-curved plates, attached to the radial arms by clips.
