The arrangement has a fixed vertical tube (1) with an associated liquid level transducer (11) connected to a computer (3) contg. a program for processing the information generated by the transducer. The tube is connected to each container (4) via a suitable connecting element (21-24) with an electrically operated valve (211,221,231,241).The valves may be connected to the computer, which can cause the opening and closing of the valves so that one container is connected to the tube at a time. The level of the liquid in the connected container is measured from the level in the tube.
