The glass fiber-reinforced, plate-like thermoplastic resin composite is prepared by (A) forming a randomly oriented web of long glass fiber(3), as a reinforced fiber for a mat, on a conveyor belt(2), and (B) punching the mat with two kinds of needles, upwardly barbed(4) and downwardly barbed(5). The thermoplastic resin is selected from polyolefin-based resin, polybutylene terephthalate, polyamide or polycarbonate.
