<p>The invention relates to an air filter especially for intake air in combustion engines. It comprises a cylinder shaped housing (1) having an inlet opening (2) and an outlet opening (3) and, within the housing (1) a filter element (4) for radial air percolation and axial flow of filtered air. The filter element (4) is provided at its end with thin plates (5) and one of the plates is extended into a flange (7) around which a seal (8) is arranged. This flange (7) and the seal (8) are clamped to the outer side of one gable of the house (1) by a cover (9) for attaching the filter element (4).</p> |
