A cytokine potentiator containing an ethanolamine derivative represented by general formula (I) or a salt thereof, or a combination thereof with a cytokine or a cytokine production accelerator; and a remedy containing the potentiator as the active ingredient and applicable for diseases wherein the cytokine activity is reduced, wherein R1 represents H, -CH3, -CH2CH(CH3)OH or -CH2CH2OH; R2 represents H, -CH3, -CH2CH3 or -COOH; and R3 represents H, -CH3, -CH2CH3 or -CH2NH2.
