The suspension unit, especially for top cupboards in kitchen units, permits height adjustment, e.g. suitable for use by handicapped people. The unit includes a metal angle bracket (1) fitted to the inside wall of the cupboard. The bracket is by means of a screw (3) adjustably coupled to a support bracket (2), which at the bottom rests on support profile (4), which prevents tipping over of the cupboard. Height adjustment is achieved using guide profile (5) which is fixed to the wall.
